Samsung Galaxy Z Family May Get A New Member In The Form Of Tri-Fold

After Fold, comes Flip, then comes foldable display sandwich perhaps?

Going by usual release plans, Samsung are expected to release the Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 somewhere in this year. However, rumor on the street is pointing out a potential third device under the foldable family which uses a brand-new form factor: tri-fold. The company has demonstrated this technology before (under their Samsung Display division), so it’s not entirely out of the picture for Samsung’s mobile division to release it to the market.

The leak comes from Yogesh Brar, who says that Samsung is working on a tri-fold device at the expense of a possible Galaxy S23 FE development. It’s pretty vague, but the leaker claims the device “might” launch within this year.

There is no Galaxy S23 FE in the development chain unlike what the recent rumours have been pointing..

Samsung is instead working on the improved Z Fold 5 & Flip 5 along with a Tri-Fold that might finally ship this year

Do take this claim with great amounts of salt – as there are very little information out there that corroborate this claim. Meanwhile, the apparent demise of Galaxy S23 FE seems to go against the rumor on the street that it is in fact, in active development. We’re still a few months away from August where Samsung will likely host their second Unpacked event of the year – so things may and will definitely change by then.
