HONOR may be pushing themselves really hard this time to release a mid-range device people would really love. HUAWEI’s focus on their camera prowess may be emulated by HONOR for their upcoming flagship, the HONOR 20.

The HONOR 20 should further improve on the HONOR View20’s camera chops!

The HONOR 20’s design has previously been leaked, with a 48MP standard angle, 20MP ultra-wide angle and 8MP telephoto zoom camera. This latest leak reaffirms the rumor, and even hints at a DxOMark score of 108. To put that into perspective, last year’s HUAWEI P20 Pro scored 109, and we must add that it is still a very formidable camera phone till today.

The newest leak also reveals more about the HONOR 20’s specifications, including its 6.1″ OLED display and a 6th generation under-display fingerprint scanner. There will be a 32MP selfie camera and a 3650 mAh battery supporting HUAWEI’s 22.5W Super Charge. Interestingly, HONOR is expected to place to 32MP selfie camera in a waterdrop notch, instead of a punch hole like the one the HONOR View20 has.

To satisfy gamers, it will come with Gaming+, GPU Turbo and Link Turbo. It will also tout a 3.5mm jack with a dedicated HiFi audio chip, so you won’t have to worry about bringing dongles with you.

Rumored HONOR 20 Specifications

  • Kirin 980, octa core @ up to 2.6 GHz, 7nm FinFET
  • Up to 8GB RAM
  • Up to 256GB storage
  • 6.1″ OLED display, waterdrop notch, 6th-gen under-display fingerprint scanner
  • 48MP + 20MP ultra-wide angle + 8MP 3x telephoto cameras
  • 32MP selfie camera
  • 3650 mAh battery, 22.5W HUAWEI Super Charge
  • 6 + 128GB: RMB 2999 (~RM1829)
    8 + 128GB: RMB 3399 (~RM2073)
    8 + 256GB: RMB 3799 (~RM2317)

Looking at the rumored pricing, the HONOR 20 is well set to be the best camera phone below RM2000! What do you think?

Pokdepinion: I wonder why does it revert back to a waterdrop notch. Why not an AllView punch hole?
