You’d be forgiven if you’ve never heard of the smartphone brand Rokit before. It was launched back in August 2018 in the US and now the brand has come up with a rather interesting smartphone.

This Smartphone Offers A 3D Screen And 'Free' Health Care 21

The phone that we’re talking about it the Rokit Pro IO 3D, where it features a 3D screen that you don’t need glasses for, international Wi-Fi calling as well as a year of free telemedicine consultation.

Rokit is hoping that its bundled medical service to make money and entice the public by using a freemium model. As mentioned earlier, you’ll get 12-months of free Wi-Fi calling on any phone and access to family telemedicine and discounted pharmaceuticals. Once it runs out, you’d need to pay $10 per month to renew the service.

In terms of specifications, the Rokit Pro IO 3D features an 8MP selfie shooter and dual 13MP+2MP rear cameras, 3850mAh battery, 4GB RAM that’s mated with 64GB internal storage and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.

The service that they’ve included with the device (Rok Life Services) consists of:

  • International Wi-Fi calling
  • Family telemedicine 24/7
  • Pharmacy saving platform
  • Family roadside assistance
  • $100,000 accidental death insurance
  • $20,000 burial insurance
  • Family legal services
  • $1million in identity theft insurance
  • $100 Rok Monthly Rewards Dollars

Rokit Pro IO 3D is priced at $275 (~RM1,116) and as you might’ve expected, is only available in the US.

Pokdepinion: Now this isn’t a flagship smartphone to say the least… but hey this is an interesting take on a phone. Sadly it’s only available in the USA.
