As many of you may know, the Samsung Galaxy Fold faced display issues in the past which led to the company delaying its release to improve on its design. It looks like it wasn’t enough however as the new version is still facing issues with its display.

According to TechCrunch’s Brian Heater, he found a colourful blob in the middle of his Samsung Galaxy Fold display. It is a review unit but it’s expected to be the same as what will be sold in the market as opposed to an engineering set. It’s said that he only used the device for 27 hours.

It’s been mentioned that the device never fell into a body of water nor did it had any notable impacts on the concrete floor. Heater surmised that there’s a possibility that pressing the display to close the device caused the colourful blob to appear. Samsung now has the damaged Galaxy Fold review unit to investigate the matter.

While this doesn’t look good for the Korean giant, it’s hard to say that it’s their fault for the matter. The technology could be rather fragile in nature and would require more work in order to withstand the consumers’ daily necessities.

Given how they’ve dealt with past issues like the Note 7 fiasco, I’m certain they will be able to overcome the matter without much issues. For now, users are advised to treat the Samsung Galaxy Fold with special care.
