Vivo X5Pro to go on sale tomorrow at RM1599

Vivo’s latest smartphone, the Vivo X5Pro is set to go on sale tomorrow according to our source. A svelte phone at only 6.4mm thin, the Vivo X5Pro will cost you RM1599 to bring it home.

Under the 5.2″ 1080p AMOLED display is an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 615, 2GB RAM and 16GB memory (expandable via microSD) and a Cirrus Logic DAC AK4375 to improve your music listening experience. Sharing the front side with the screen is a 8 megapixel front camera. On the back there is a 13MP camera with a f/2.0 lens protected by sapphire glass. Keeping everything powered is a 2450 mAh battery. 2.5D glass panels finish up the design with a metal band round the edge to hold it all together.

While you wait till you can get your hands on this pretty device, here is a promotional video for you to enjoy. Currently in Malaysia only the white variant is available, so those who prefer the black version (me included) may have to wait and see if Vivo decides to bring in the black one.

Pokdepinion: Asking for RM1599 for a Snapdragon 615 powered device seems quite steep. The performance of the Snapdragon 615 is adequate in most usage conditions but let’s hope it is not plagued by overheating issues like the other devices with Snapdragon 615s. The 2450 mAh battery also seems quite small to me but we will test the battery life in our upcoming review. Did I mention we have an upcoming review of this device?
