Xiaomi 13 Series Officially Launched in Malaysia

At a launch event in KL earlier today, the Xiaomi 13 series of smartphone have officially launched in Malaysia. The series arrives not long after its global debut and boasts the same specifications and options as the international release, except for the Lite model, which the company confirmed is not available in the local market. There is still no word on the alleged Ultra variant either.

The new Xiaomi 13 series features the same design language, with a clean and minimalist aesthetic showcased most prominently on its rear panels. The vanilla model sports a flat display and surrounding frame, while the Pro model exhibits a more rounded overall look to complement its curved screen. Regardless of variant, both come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chipset, Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers, IP68 water and dust resistance, Android 13-powered MIUI 14, Leica-enhanced imaging features, 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC connectivity.

With a big focus on cameras, the rear triple camera setup features the 1-inch Sony IMX989 50.3MP sensor with laser autofocus and OIS.
