Xiaomi Mi 9 sold out in just 53 seconds in China
Xiaomi’s Mi 9 offers amazing value for its very affordable price, and it seems that Chinese smartphone enthusiasts agree. The latest flagship from Xiaomi was fully snapped up in just 53 seconds, despite Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s founder assuring everyone that there are “sufficient” units.
He probably misjudged the demand for the Xiaomi Mi 9, as it is currently the most affordable Snapdragon 855 device in the market. Not to mention that it is one of the first to tout the latest flagship chipset in the market.
With a price tag starting from just RMB 2999, we don’t blame the Chinese smartphone users to go gaga over the device. In fact we forsee a similar scenario here in Malaysia. Speaking of which, we might actually see it arrive a bit later due to the fact that the Xiaomi Mi 9 sold so well in its homeland.
