At Microsoft’s Windows Hardware Engineering Community event (WinHEC), Qualcomm announced that they are collaborating with Microsoft to enable Windows 10 on mobile computing devices powered by next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.

The Windows 10 devices powered by Qualcomm’s processor are expected to be fully support Windows 10 ecosystem via an emulator. The emulator, is designed to run any Win32 and universal Windows apps on the Windows 10 and there is no sign that it has software incompatibility issue. It also said the emulator is support for touch, pen, Windows Hello and more.

The first PC that run Windows 10 based on Qualcomm Snapdragon processors are expected to be available as early as next year. Bringing Windows 10 to life with a range of thin, light, power-efficient and always connected devices.

 

Pokdepinion: It’s impressive to see an ARM SoC to be able running full Windows 10 and Win32 application, but the most interesting part is the performance loss when running X86 on ARM.
