At a launch event in Damansara, Microsoft has introduced its Surface lineup for Malaysia to empower users to achieve more with the ultimate Windows device.

The new devices include the Surface Laptop and the Surface Book 2 which will be available for purchase starting from the 15^th of March onwards. The Surface lineup rounds up a strong portfolio of Microsoft devices that will not only allow users to unleash their creativity through new Windows 10 Creators Update features, but also to empower every individual to be productive on their own terms.

The Most Powerful Surface Ever: Surface Book 2

Removing the barrier between a conventional desktop and laptop, the Surface Book 2 features the latest 8^th Gen Intel Core processors coupled with the graphical prowess of the latest NVIDIA GeForce GPUs. The Surface Book is 2 is said to offer up to 5 times more power than the original.

For those seeking flexibility in the way they use their device, the Surface Book 2 supports 4 different modes, including Studio Mode, Laptop Mode, View Mode, or even Tablet mode by simply detaching the screen.

The Surface Book 2 will be available in 13.5” or 15” options, and is said to have an impressive 17-hour battery life for marathon productivity sessions. From running software such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Autodesk, to playing games such as Forza Motorsport 7 or Gears of War at 1080p 60fps, it is more than prepared to support users’ workload for work or for play.

Performance Meets Style: Surface Laptop 

The Surface Laptop combines design and performance in a sleek, elegant clamshell device. It’s powered by a 7^th Gen Intel Core processor and is said to have up to 14.5 hours of battery life to last through the day. At just 1.25 kilograms and less than 14.5mm thin, the Surface Laptop fits nicely into your favorite bag, and is lightweight for users to bring around.

In addition, the Surface Laptop features a signature keyboard covered in luxurious Alcantara material, along with a quiet and responsive keyset, large precision trackpad, and soft palm rest for a new level of typing comfort.

Pricing and Availability

The Surface Laptop is now available for purchase in Malaysia at local Surface authorized retailers. The Surface Book 2 is currently available for pre-orders at Surface authorized retailers and will be available for purchase from the 15^th March 2018 onwards.
