Samsung has just introduced their latest Galaxy Tab S4 and Tab A 10.5 (2018) here in Malaysia. These two tablets are designed for different niches, with the former featuring a more premium design for professionals, while the latter is designed for entertainment.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4

The Galaxy Tab S4 comes with support for Samsung DeX, making it the first tablet to support the productivity-oriented technology. With the DeX dock, you can up your productivity with a second screen, complementing the beautiful 10.5″ 2560×1600 Super AMOLED display built into the Tab S4.

The audio experience on the Galaxy Tab S4 is also expected to be pretty good with four speakers tuned by AKG with Dolby Atmos sound technology. And keeping it powered is a 7300 mAh battery, which is claimed to be good for 15 hours of video playback.

Performance is expected to be pretty good with a Snapdragon 835 mated to 4GB of RAM. Storage is limited to 64GB, but it’s expandable up to 400GB. You also get most of the Samsung niceties like Iris Scanner, and an included S Pen.

The S Pen doesn’t have a stowaway in the body of the Galaxy Tab S4 itself, but for a limited time period from now till 31st October, you can get a complimentary Book Cover which does. The Galaxy Tab S4 is available in Black and Grey, priced at RM3099.

This tablet takes things down a notch, as it is designed for kids. This tablet features kid-friendly features like Kids Browser, Galaxy Apps for Kids and also eight free child-friendly apps. For the adults who want to use it while their kids aren’t, there is also Multi User Mode for separate accounts.

There is also an Always On Daily Board feature which will allow the device to serve as a home hub for your clock, calendar and weather updates and also a digital photo library. Connecting to smart home appliances is also simplified with SmartThings.

Last but not least, there are Charging Dock POGO pins which work with the Galaxy Tab S4 and also the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 (2018), allowing the latter to charge while displaying the Daily Board to keep you updated all the time.

Priced at RM1699, the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 (2018) is also available in Black and Grey, and will come with a complimentary Battery Pack if you purchase it before 31st October.

Pokdepinion: The Galaxy Tab S4 seems like a nice tablet, but no idea why didn’t they use a passive S Pen like the Note series.
