CES 2021: Sony To Introduce New BRAVIA XR 8K TV Plus More With New Cognitive Processor XR

We’re heading to that time again where brands reveal some of their latest innovations and product. For this year’s CES 2021, Sony has announced of their new BRAVIA XR 8K LED, 4K OLED, and 4K LED TVs which packs a new Cognitive Processor XR.

Among the latest TVs from the brand includes the MASTER Series Z9J 8K LED, A90J OLED, A80J OLED, X95J, as well as the X90J 4K LED TV.

All of the TVs is powered by the Cognitive Processor XR, where Sony claims that it goes “beyond conventional AI” that’s designed to replicate the way humans see and hear.

According to them, the processor is able to know where the focal point is by dividing the screen into numerous zones and detecting where the “focal point” is in the picture. It is able to cross-analyze an array of elements at once.

Aside from that, it also analyze sound position in the signal so that the sound matches precisely with what’s on the screen. Any sound is additionally upconverted to 3D surround sound, delivering enhanced audio with an immersive soundscape.

In addition to the Cognitive Processor XR being included for all the TVs, they all pack HDMI 2.1 support, which allows for 4K 120fps, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode, and e-ARC, which makes it a solid option for next-gen consoles.

Sony Malaysia has said that the new BRAVIA XR televisions including the MASTER Series Z9J 8K LED and A90J OLED as well as the A80J OLED and X90J 4K LED TVs will come in to the country. As you might’ve guessed, pricing and retail availability is yet to be confirmed, so you might need to wait a little while longer for that.

Pokdepinion: Now I’m interested in seeing them for myself. I wonder how much they’ll cost when they arrive here though…
