LG E9 OLED TV Wins iF Gold Award for Design Excellence

OLED TVs are a beauty to behold. You get arguably the best colour contrast and the truest blacks possible. LG is one of the few electronics companies that offer OLED TVs and their LG E9 OLED TV has recently bagged an award.

The LG E9 OLED TV has won the iF Gold Award 2019 for Design Excellence. The award, along with 15 other recognitions for the company’s other products, was given based on the judgment of a jury panel consisting of 67 design experts. It was announced in Munich, Germany during the iF Design Award 2019 ceremony, with a total of 66 products receiving the iF Gold Award from a list of 6,375 entries.

Noh Chang-Ho, Vice President and Head of Corporate Design at LG Electronics, said:

Great design is being able to anticipate the needs of our customers. At LG, we will continue to introduce designs that exceed consumers’ expectations.

The premium TV offering by LG was given the award for the expansive screen design with the use of transparent glass at the bottom with the stand recessed far behind the display to create an immersive viewing experience. The iF judges mentioned that it seemed as if the LG E9 OLED TV appeared to “float in air.”

Pokdepinion: Kinda wished I had the money to afford an OLED TV. Would be nice to game and watch Netflix on that all-day long. The most I could probably do right now is to review it, at least this way, I can also help you guys decide if it’s worth your hard-earned money.
