Garmin Malaysia collaborates with MyFundAction, a youth-led non-profit organisation, to provide RM36,551.90 in essential items to 45 families affected by the recent flood disaster. The collaboration represents a collaborative effort on two fronts. Garmin Malaysia is in charge of preparing boxes of essential items such as dry food, blankets, diapers, and COVID-19 test kits, while MyFundAction is in charge of delivering them to deserving families.

“At Garmin Malaysia, we admire the compassion of our youths who go out of their own way to help fellow Malaysians through rescue efforts, donations, clean-ups and social media activism,” said Ivan Ong, General Manager for Aeco Technologies, the official distributor of Garmin Malaysia. “Garmin is proud to partner with MyFundAction and be a part of this colossal effort to offer genuine support so that those affected by the flood are reminded that they are not alone.”

“The partnership between Garmin Malaysia and MyFundAction strives to improve the victims’ quality of life during this challenging period. We spent the holiday season towards the end of the year to ensure that they can start the new year with their basic needs taken care of and it does not end here,” said Siti Aisyah Shahid, Chief Operating Officer MyfundAction.

Garmin provided all of the items in response to MyFundAction’s request for the most in-demand necessities. As of today, the organisation is still looking for contributions to purchase basic food supplies, hygiene kits, and ready-to-eat meals. Those interested to donate can check out the link here.

This collaboration is part of Garmin’s attempt to raise awareness about the flood disaster while also being at the forefront of delivering assistance. Garmin Malaysia will continue to organise such programmes in the future to broaden its horizons in terms of fostering goodwill.

Pokdepinion: Very thankful for the donation to the flood victims. The floods last month was just absolutely shocking and something I’ve never seen before especially so close to home.
