War never changes

Good news everyone! Call of Duty World war 2 Early Access Beta is out now on the PS4 for all PlayStation Network Asia users. Unlike other PlayStation Network users around the world where the Early Access Beta is only available to those who pre ordered Call of Duty World War 2 beforehand, PlayStation Network Asia users will have direct access to the Early Access Beta without the need to pre ordering the game first or the usage of any game codes whatsoever.

There is a way to get pass this though if you’re a non-PSN Asia user by simply signing up for a PSN Asia account (not PSN Japan) without the need for PS Plus. Sony could stop this little workaround though so try to do it as soon as possible.

Call of Duty World War 2 Early Access Beta Is Out Now! 24

The Call of Duty World War 2 Early Access Beta will be happening this weekend (August 26th to 29th) and next weekend (September 2nd to 5th). The first weekend is only available for PS4 users while the next weekend is available for both PS4 and Xbox One users. For Xbox One users, you must be subscribed to the Xbox Gold service to play the beta. We don’t know when the Early Access Beta for PC will arrive as Activision has yet to announce a date but don’t fret, in a recent Reddit post COD WWII developer Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey says it’s definitely coming.

You can download the Call of Duty World War 2 Early Access Beta from the PlayStation Store on your PS4 or right here.

So what’s in the Early Access Beta?

Sledgehammer Games, the developer of COD WWII says the Early access Beta will only contain a small part of the of the game’s multiplayer experience. Not only is the beta a simple demo of the game, it is also being used as a sort of test-bed by the developers and letting gamers try out the gameplay systems and mechanics while also collecting feedback. Also, the beta will not include any single-player content. It looks like COD’s signature Zombie Mode will not be included either.

The Call of Duty World War 2 Early Access Beta will have the standard multiplayer maps as well as a new War Mode where players must work as a team to defeat the enemy. It’ll contain narrative driven objectives. It will also feature a brand new Divisions class selecting system that basically replaces the Pick 10 Create-a-Class system found on previous COD games.

In short, here are the things expected on the COD WWII Early Access Beta:

  • Maps – At least three Multiplayer maps, including: Pointe Du Hoc, Ardennes, and Gibraltar.
  • War Mode – Operation Breakout
  • Modes – Fan-favorite modes, including Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint.
  • Divisions – Enlist in the Infantry, Expeditionary, Airborne, Armored, or Mountain Division. You are not limited to any one Division, and we encourage you to try them all!
  • Progression – Players will begin at Soldier Rank 1 and rank up through a limited progression to unlock weapons, scorestreaks, equipment, and Basic Training Skills.

Here’s what won’t be making an appearance on the beta:

  • Headquarters – We’re testing the match-making of this all-new social experience, but access to this space will not be active during the Multiplayer Beta.
  • Supply Drops, and Loot – These customization features that add depth and personality to your soldier will not be included in the Multiplayer Beta.
  • Esports – Ranked Play, Game Battles, and our suite of competitive features will be accessible when we release in November.
  • Additional content not in the Private Multiplayer Beta includes: full progressionremaining maps and modes, additional War Mode maps, and the full armory of weaponsscore-streaks, Basic Training, and equipment.

As with most other similar game betas, progress you’ve made in the beta will not be carried over to the main game. Have fun blasting other people to bits this weekend folks.
