With the recent hype of Battle Royale games launching in all sorts of different platforms, a new challenger has arrived. It’s called Radical Heights and it’s developed by Boss Key Production, the same people behind LawBreakers.

New Battle Royale Game Radical Heights Unveiled

Boss Key Production released LawBreakers on PC and PS4 last year. The game unfortunately underperformed, so the developers recently shared their plans to move on from the game Today, we got our first glimpse at what’s next for the studio, and its a free-to-play battle royale game called Radical Heights.

The game will actually be availalble on Steam for free starting April 10th 2018, but will be in Early Access, or as Boss Key Productions describes it “X-TREME Early Access”. The developers decided to go with Early Access as they could start building a community right away while also getting feedback quickly from fans.

Radical Heights will stay free-to-play, even after it leaves Early Access, which Boss Key Production plans on keeping the game in for about a year.

Zach Lowery, Creative Director of Radical Heights, said:

This is a 5 month passion project for the studio as we’re creating and publishing the game entirely by ourselves. We’re huge fans of Battle Royale games along with the bright, inviting irreverence of the 80’s aesthetic.

Because of that, we want to put our own spin on the genre and create a futuristic 80’s world that takes place in 2023 during an over-the-top game show where contestant battle it out for fame and prizes.

Radical Heights has an undeniable 80’s theme, and takes place in a sunny dome in Southern California. As is typical for the genre, players will drop in, pick up weapons, and aim to be the last one standing. Radical Heights is attempting to set itself apart though, as its features BMX bikes for players to ride, and lets plays bank cash that they gain from killing enemies, which can later be used to by new outfits or purchase weapons early in the next game.

You can check out the game’s reveal trailer at the top of this post. Radical Heights will be available on Steam via Early Access beginning April 10th 2018.

Pokdepinion: I suppose if you’re not playing PUBG and if you’re sorta bored of Fortnite, you can always give Radical Heights a try since it is free. Just keep in mind that it is a Steam Early Access title.
