Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Will Have a HUGE Day 1 Patch

The release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is just around the corner. If you’re among the many gamers eagerly awaiting your annual craving of Call of Duty action, then this would be the perfect time to free up a little room on your storage drive, as Activision has just announced the the size of the upcoming game’s day 1 patch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s initial update will require a whopping 112 GB of space to complete the installation process. However, this is not an accurate representation of the actual patch size, just the space needed to install it. The patch itself will be approximately 50 GBs.

Many of the game’s features will be inaccessible until the update is complete. This includes Multiplayer, Zombies, and Specialist Headquarters. However, gamers will be able to dive right into the series’ much-anticipated new battle royale mode Blackout in its entirety when the patch reaches about 30% completion, which is roughly 16 GBs to 20 GBs in size.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on 12th October 2018.

Pokdepinion: Good thing I got myself another SSD, and it’s essentially empty. I don’t think I’m patient enough for loading times if I installed it on my HDD.
