Blizzard May Be Adding Cross-Play For Diablo 3 on Console

Cross-play has been a rather hot topic for the past few months, especially when it’s related to Fortnite and the PlayStation 4. It appears that another major game may see cross-play being implemented, and it will Diablo 3 from the Blizzard camp.

According to a report on Business Insider, a Blizzard rep has told them that cross-play is “a matter of when, not if”. With Diablo 3 coming to the Nintendo Switch this November and the fact that it’s available on a number of platforms today would definitely make it more viable for gamers to jump back in as it affords them the flexibility of playing in whatever platform they’re most comfortable with / currently own.

However, it’s also worth noting that there was no mention of PC being included in that cross-play feature for Diablo 3, which would suggest that it may be limited to just the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. It’s also worth noting that there are claims of the developers working with partners at Sony and Microsoft to enable the feature so they can play together with the Nintendo Switch.

With that being said, do take this piece of information with a grain of salt as this is not an official announcement by Blizzard. It will only be considered true when they announce it first hand so for now, let’s just hope for the best from this matter.

Pokdepinion: I would certainly love to play the game again, especially on the Nintendo Switch, so I can just conveniently game with friends without being stuck in front of my computer.
