After the very brief teaser that way posted not too long ago and with E3 2018 just around the corner, it might seem like Borderlands 3 will be absent at the show. This comes from Take-Two Interactive’s financial conference call.

During Take-Two Interactive’s financial conference call for the fiscal year which ended on 31st March 2018, President Karl Slatoff talked about their plans for E3 2018. With many people expecting E3 2018 to show off a bunch of new games, it’s not a surprise that many are expecting a big reveal of some kind from them.

Unfortunately however, Slatoff talked about Take-Two Interactive’s lack of plans for E3 2018, at least for what concerns new games. Slatoff confirmed that the publisher, which includes 2K Games and Rockstar Games, isn’t planning to show any new games at the show in Los Angeles.

This comes just after the company revealed that a “highly-anticipated title from one of 2K’s biggest franchises” has been delayed to fiscal year 2020, which means between 1st April 2019 and 31st March 2020.

While no official confirmation has come from Take-Two Interactive, this game is widely believed to be Borderlands 3. Whether this is accurate or not, it’s unknown whether the company planned to reveal the game at E3 2018 prior to the delay or not.

However, keep in mind that this might just be a way for them to pull off a swerve so they can surprise us if it were to happen. In times like this, it’s always best to hope for the best but also expect nothing to avoid disappointment. For all we know, the surprise might not even be Borderlands 3. Only time will tell.

Pokdepinion: I am very excited to get my hands on Borderlands 3, so much so that I’ve played the previous games and even the pre-sequel about 3 times by now. At the same time, I’d rather wait out and have a stable game than play a rushed product that is riddled with bugs.
