Top 4 SEA Vainglory Teams Face-Off

vainglory

Vainglory is bringing its fiercest competitors in Southeast Asia to Jakarta for the Summer 2017 Southeast Asia Championship, in collaboration with Indonesia’s leading telecommunications operator, Telkomsel.

Presented by Telkomsel’s Dunia Games, the Championship will feature the region’s 4 best teams in an intense 2-day tournament. Played live in Jakarta, the competition will be the game’s largest event in Southeast Asia to date, taking place at the Telkomsel Smart Office in Jakarta from September 9th to September 10th, 2017.

Vainglory is a battle between two teams (3 vs. 3 players who play with, and against, real people). Players control a single hero, and the team’s goal is to shatter a giant crystal called the Vain in the center of the enemy team’s base. The team that destroys the enemy’s Vain wins the game. In 2017, the Vainglory8 competitive format expanded from North America and Europe to Southeast Asia, East Asia and China. The game is played across the world by millions of people, and over 5,000 teams have signed up for Vainglory8.

Each season, the top Vainglory teams compete in their region’s Vainglory8 to qualify for the seasonal championship events. The winning teams of those competitions qualify for the Vainglory World Championships, where the 12 best teams from around the world compete in front of a live audience.

Elite8, the Spring Season 2017 SEA champion team, is confirmed for the World Championships in Singapore later this year and will represent the Indonesian Vainglory community and fans. Last year, Korea’s Rox Armada (previously Phoenix Armada) were crowned the Vainglory World Champions.

Taewon Yun, General Manager of Global Publishing at Super Evil Megacorp, said:

We have seen a very high level of play this season amongst the top teams, and we are certain that the Spring 2017 Championship in Jakarta will be extremely exciting to watch. We are grateful to be able to come to Indonesia and share this live event with our passionate fan-base in Southeast Asia together with our partner Telkomsel.

Trio Yamad G Lumbantoruan,Telkomsel’s General Manager of Games and Apps, said:

Pokdepinion: Definitely something for fans of the game to be excited about, and something Mobile Legends fans will be salty about. Either way, the Summer 2017 Championship seems to be something worth watching.
