Final Fantasy VII Remake Will Have the Infamous Cross-Dressing Scene and More

Gamers have grown increasingly curious on the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake. Would it be a simple remake that’s exactly the same as the original, or would it include some new content to enjoy? Worse yet, would there be cut content due to the fact that the game was in a completely different era, and societal norms differ greatly back then.

Well, one particular iconic moment has been confirmed to happen in the game. We’re talking about the Honey Bee Inn cross-dressing scenario with Cloud Strife. This information came during on an interview with Famitsu by game director Tetsuya Nomura:

The Honey Bee Inn cross-dressing event is still in. We’ve made it more modern. If we made the facility like we did in the original game, the physical unease would be staggering, so that was no good…

Aside from that, it was mentioned that for combat, each party member will have different enemy affinities and will also require the use of items to restore MP. We can also expect new enemies that never appeared before in the game, though it’s uncertain if it’s just for regular enemies or if there will be new boss fights as well.

As for character design, it was mentioned that for Tifa and Aerith, the team wanted to give one a western-style appearance and the other one appealing more to the Eastern style. Due to the fact that the game will only covering the Midgar portion, we won’t be seeing Yuffie, Cid, Cait Sith, or Vincent anytime soon. But we sure can look forward to Cloud cross-dressing at least.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4 on 3rd March 2020.
