Apple Arcade Announced

At the Apple Keynote which took place at the Steve Jobs Theater in California, Apple has announced their new game subscription service which will work on iOS, Mac, and Apple TV. It will be known as the Apple Arcade.

Apple Arcade will give subscribers access to a catalog of over 100 games that will be playable on iOS devices like iPhone and iPad, Mac, or on your television via Apple TV. All games will be available for play offline and you’ll also be able to switch between devices when playing a title. So if you go to work and decide to play on your phone throughout the day, you can then pick up your progress where you left off on your TV when you get home without any problems.

To entice the masses, Apple says that the Apple Arcade will have a number exclusive games on their platform. The games are said to be from creators like Hironobu Sakaguchi, Ken Won, and Will Wright. Apple also released a preview trailer showing off some of the titles that will be available through Apple Arcade which included Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, The Pathless, Sonic Racing, Beyond a Steel Sky, and many others.

Pokdepinion: Well, everyone’s going gaming. I don’t mind them keeping everything within the company, I just hope it will be something worth having when it’s finally out.
