Diablo 4 Is Actually in Development – Blizzard May Have Cut It From BlizzCon 2018
Diablo 4 Is Actually in Development and It May Have Been Cut From BlizzCon 2018
Diablo Immortal was announced to a rather mixed response, arguably bigger on the negative side. While it’s not necessarily because they hated a mobile game for the series but rather, they may have been anticipating a full-fledged sequel in the form of Diablo 4. If you’re one of the people who were expecting that then we have some news for you which you might not really enjoy.
A report has surfaced on Kotaku which stated that Blizzard was originally planning to announce Diablo 4 at BlizzCon 2018. However, the announcement was allegedly cut at the last minute.
It’s said that the Diablo 4 announcement will not show any gameplay footage but rather an announcement video featuring co-founder Allen Adham announcing the game’s development.
Blizzard later made a statement that no such thing was ever planned for BlizzCon 2018 and that no announcements were pulled from the expo. This is what they said:
First off we want to mention that we definitely hear our community. We generally don’t comment on rumors or speculation, but we can say that we didn’t pull any announcements from BlizzCon this year or have plans for other announcements. We do continue to have different teams working on multiple unannounced Diablo projects, and we look forward to announcing when the time is right.
It’s interesting to note that Blizzard outright mentioned that they are working on multiple Diablo projects and that they did not deny the existence of Diablo 4. For now, we will just have to wait and see what Blizzard has under their sleeves.
Pokdepinion: Personally, I’m looking forward to Diablo Immortal. It might be one of the few mobile games that I could get into. Would like a proper full-fledged sequel as well but one at a time, I suppose.
