Tokyo Game Show 2018: Sony Sponsoring Indie Developers Again This Year

If you think Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t doing their part in helping indie developers grow in the industry, you’re gonna be delighted to hear this. They have reached out with a press release to announce that applications are open for the indie game area of the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2018.

This year we’ll also see the return of Sense of Wonder Night, a celebration event that will have a number of indie developers exhibiting at the indie game area showcase their projects to the world. We also get the announcement that Sony Interactive Entertainment will once again sponsor the independent developers that will exhibit in the indie game area.

Not only they will co-sponsor the Sense of Wonder Night, but they will cover the exhibition fees of those developers chosen by the Tokyo Game Show management office to present their games in the Indie Game Area Type A. As a result, they will be able to get a booth for free.

This sponsorship has become pretty much a tradition over the past few editions of Tokyo Game Show, starting in 2015, and continuing in 2016 and 2017.

Tokyo Game Show will be held at the Makuhari Messe convention centre in Chiba, Japan, between September 20th 2018 and September 23rd 2018. Will Team Pokde be there at Tokyo Game Show 2018? We’ll have to see about that.

Pokdepinion: To go to TGS 2018 or no, that is the question. Well, there’s certainly going to be a lot of interesting things happening there, especially the Indie Game Arena with all the indie developers there. Only time will tell.
