It would appear that every single Mega Man X game will be re-released for multiple platforms, and it will be known as the Mega Man X Collection.

Mega Man X Collection: Every Mega Man X Game to be Re-released

Every game in the Mega Man X series will be coming to modern consoles, including the Nintendo Switch. Announced in Capcom’s Mega Man 30th Anniversary livestream, it was revealed that the collection would be making its way to the latest round of consoles. Even better, gamers can expect the collection by Summer 2018.

At the moment, this is all the details we have. Unanswered questions such as “will these games be grouped together in a collection like Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, or should we be expecting individual releases?” However, Capcom mentioned that they will be sharing more details on the game in the coming months.

Thankfully, this isn’t the only Mega Man news within the 30th-anniversary livestream. According to Capcom, fans can expect a new mainline game, Mega Man 11, for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One next year. And while the details on that game are also sparse, you can check the 2.5D action-packed trailer in our post right here.

The Mega Man X series launched in 1993 and hasn’t seen a mainline entry since 2004 with Mega Man X8, not including the ZX spin-off series, of course. However, the series (which undoubtedly has its share of duds) is well-loved by many, offering a redesign in both graphics and control to the mainline platforming of Mega Man titles.

As mentioned above, the Mega Man X Collection will be available for the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in the Summer of 2018.

Pokdepinion: Well, not only will we be able to finally look forward to a new Mega Man game in the form of Mega Man 11, I can soon take a trip down memory lane with the X series. This is good.
