Nintendo will be taking a bit more time with an upcoming blockbuster game as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will be delayed to 2023. Here’s what we know thus far.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 was expected to launch sometime this year. Given the massive success of its predecessor, it’s no surprise why many gamers are looking forward to this sequel. Unfortunately, we will have to wait a bit longer as added development work will push it back to 2023.
In a video on the official Nintendo YouTube channel, series producer Eiji Aonuma explained that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 was indeed planned for launch this year. However, they wanted to extend the development time by a bit so they can “make this game’s experience something special”.
He assured everyone that the development team is hard at work and he simply asks everyone to wait just a little longer for the game. Unfortunately, there are no new footages or reveals made in the video.
Pokdepinion: Better to delay the launch of a game than having a buggy mess early. That would ruin the experience for gamers and ruin the reputation of the developer / publisher behind it. There will be plenty of games for us to enjoy in the meantime.
