If you’re looking for more games to play on the Nintendo Switch, the popular co-op game PAYDAY 2 has its Nintendo Switch release date officially confirmed.

PAYDAY 2 Coming to Nintendo Switch

PAYDAY 2 Coming to Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch version of PAYDAY 2 was slyly announced back in April 2017 during Nintendo Direct, and at the time we only had a release window of Winter 2017.

Well, that’s all changed as developer Overkill Studios and publisher 505 Games have announced that the game is set to hit store shelves and the Nintendo e-Shop on February 27th 2018, for those in North and South America. Players in Europe and Australia on the other hand will be able to get their hands on the game on February 23rd 2018.

In addition to the announcement of the release date, the game’s box art on Nintendo Switch was also revealed, which is very different from the game’s other counterparts. The cover art in focus here is the one you see at the top of this post.

In other PAYDAY 2 news, about 3 weeks ago, an h3h3 character pack for the game was announced, which features Ethan and Hila Klein from the popular YouTube channel, h3h3 Productions. At the the time of this writing, it’s unknown whether or not the h3h3 Character Pack will be available on the Switch version of the game.

PAYDAY 2 was originally released on August 13th 2013, and is also available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Linux, and Windows PC. If you guys were lucky, this game was available completely free of charge for a limited time every now and then. Unless you really want to play it on the Nintendo Switch, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this game up for grabs again in the near future.

Pokdepinion: Well, more games on the Nintendo Switch is good for the console. It will give it more variety and people more reasons to jump to the platform, even if it is a game that has been available elsewhere for a while already.
