Capcom has lift the lid at this year’s E3 conference with probably one of the most anticipated games by the announcement of Devil May Cry 5, which they made a trailer to preview the the latest Devil May Cry franchise. Here’s what we’ve gathered so far.

E3 Devil May Cry 5

The series has been quite for almost a decade (that is if you exclude reboots that got bad or close to none response from fans of Devil May Cry). Leading the game is game director Hideaki Itsuno, who was one of the ones behind the success of the original Devil May Cry game. Clearly, they needed direction and bring back the franchise to its former best.  Devil May Cry 5 appears to be a direct sequel to the previous Devil May Cry 4, marking a return for franchise favorite Dante and also Nero.

In the game, it has been several years passed since the legions of Hell invaded the world. A new threat arises, where a supposedly “demon tree” is spotted in Red Grave City and caught the attention of Nero, an ally to protagonist Dante. Seemingly losing his demonic arm, Nero and her partner Nico will need to tackle obstacles in order to find Dante.

You will get to play the three characters (Nero, Dante, and Nico) in the game. Of course, each will provide different play style, making them unique to one and another.

The first and original Devil May Cry game was released back in 2001 for the Playstation 2 and the most recent entry being 2008’s Devil May Cry 4. If you consider reboots, DmC: Devil May Cry was released in 2013.

Devil May Cry 5 arrives in Spring 2019 on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, as well as on PC.

Pokdepinion: I think most of us can agree on one thing, the least Devil May Cry 5 feels or resembles to DmC: Devil May Cry, the better. Judging from the trailer, it doesn’t look like it will though.
