Apart from Red Dead Redemption 2, you hardly see any wild west games on the market. Well there’s a new one in town which is called Outlaws of the Old West. It is set to come out on PC (early access) on March 12.

Outlaws of the Old West will come with up to 150 players and there will be PvP, PvE, and role-play servers with a player-driven economy and customizable settlements. There’s also a ‘morality-system’, which allows for players to create their own in-game narratives.

Being a survival game, you’ll need to gather resources and build your own house to survive the harsh climate. There’ll be NPCs roaming around that includes bandits and townsfolk. You can form up parties and create guilds. If playing it the honorable way isn’t your thing, you can go on to be a true outlaw and rob others but at a price; your standing in the world. Once you’ve caused enough chaos, other players can put a hefty bounty on you.

It is published by Wandering Wizard, where they’ve mentioned that “players decide the direction of the servers and the game”. They’ve continued by saying “with the morality system, players can build a reputation as a region defender, protecting other players and settlements from NPC or Player gangs, or become a cold-blooded outlaw terrorizing the locals”.

They expect that the game will be in Early Access for a period of a year. At the time of writing, the price for the Early Access hasn’t been revealed. According to them, the full retail release of the game will eventually make its way to PS4 and Xbox One consoles respectively. You can click on the link here to check it out on Steam.

Pokdepinion: This sounds like an interesting game to play. Hopefully the Early Access isn’t that pricey. I might even try it out.
