Overwatch Adds NVIDIA Reflex Support And Here's How It's Beneficial 22

Overwatch is finally adding support for NVIDIA Reflex and it’s expected to be substantially beneficial for GeForce gamers. Here’s a brief explanation of how and why.

The NVIDIA Reflex technology isn’t new as it has been around since the GTX 900 series. By adding support for it on Overwatch, the goal here is to remove system latency by up to 50%, which is a huge difference. Based on the graph above, enabling the feature and using the GeForce graphics cards reduces system latency substantially.

For now, the update is currently available in Public Test Servers only and it will take roughly a few weeks before it’s made available in the main servers. If you’re using a non-NVIDIA graphics card, then this wouldn’t matter to you as you won’t be able to make use of it.

In other related news, Blizzard recently launched visual enhancement upgrades for the game on Xbox Series X / S consoles that will allow gamers to run the game in three different modes for high resolution and higher frame rates. However, no such upgrade has been made available for the PS5, at least not yet.

Overwatch is currently available for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Pokdepinion: Would definitely like to see how much of a difference it makes. Anything that can help reduce latency, even a little bit, is a major lifesaver in any online multiplayer games.
