More PlayStation exclusive games will be coming to PC soon as the ones developed by PS Studios are expected to arrive after 1 year. Essentially, we’re looking at a shorter time frame for PC ports of PlayStation games.

Is The God of War PC Port Great or a Poor Mess?

In a recent interview with YouTuber Julien Chièze, PlayStation Studios Head Hermen Hulst mentioned PC versions of PlayStation Studios-exclusive games on PS4 and PS5 will be coming at least after a year from here on out. The idea here is to shorten the time it takes to port the games over to PC, except for the ones with live services.

I think going forward, we’ll see at least a year between releases on our own platform, on PlayStation, and on the PC platform, possibly with the exception of live-service games.

Live-service games are a little bit different in nature because you want to have really strong community, strong engagement right away… So we might, in the case of our live-service offerings, go day and date with PC and the PlayStation platform.

Horizon Forbidden West Review

Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean that PlayStation Studios’ games will be coming to PC immediately after a year but rather, that’s the minimum that gamers should wait for ports to arrive. It does at least spark some confidence in seeing the games arrive earlier than usual.

If we’re lucky, we might just see the likes of Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok arrive as early as 2023. For now, don’t get your hope up too high just yet. We will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: Their games are selling well on PC. If anything, I see the time frame being shorter and shorter as we go by.
