PS5 DualSense Controller May Have Popped Up on SIRIM

Previously, Steam added basic support for the PS5 DualSense controller. Now, a brand new update has included support for more features of the gamepad, giving PC gamers full support for it.

Steam Adds Full DualSense Support

PS5 DualSense Controllers

In the newest Steam client update, they mentioned specifically on support for PS5 controllers which includes trackpad, gyro, lightbar, and rumble. Apart from that, you also have directional swipe for the touchpad as well.

  • Added support for PS5 Controllers to Steam Input including trackpad, gyro, lightbar, and rumble functionality
  • Added a directional swipe mode for use with trackpads and gyro

It’s worth noting that all games will make use of every feature available on the PS5 DualSense controller. Ports of PS4 games would most likely be your best option for that. It’s also worth noting that this new update is available for all users and is not a beta update.

While it may not be the best idea to get a DualSense controller purely for PC gaming, PS5 owners can enjoy using the gamepad with more than just the next gen console. It’s certainly a very convenient thing, especially if you’re looking for reasons to buy extra controllers.

Pokdepinion: Didn’t think this would happen so soon. Figured it would take another month or so at least. It’s certainly wonderful news for PC gamers.
