Originally set to be launched on Steam, it seems that Anno 1800 will be discontinued on the platform after it is released on 16th of April. Despite not being confirmed yet on where it will end up, it could even possibly make its way to Epic Games, judging from the trend of games that they’ve managed to scoop from Steam themselves.

Sales of Anno 1800 will be discontinued on Steam after April 16th due to a publisher decision to make the game exclusive to another PC store. The publisher has assured us that all prior sales of the game on Steam will be fulfilled on Steam and Steam owners will be able to access the game and any future updates or DLC through Steam. Recently, a number of games have left Steam just prior to release and instead went to Epic Games Store instead which includes The Division 2, Metro Exodus, and Borderlands 3 to name a few.
