There are Three Cyberpunk 2077 Projects in the Works

Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming in April 2020 but it will certainly not be the only entry in the franchise by CD Projekt Red. It turns out that there are three projects related to the franchise that is currently in the works.

In a new report from Bankier, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kiciński confirmed that the company already has three different projects based off of Cyberpunk 2077 in active development. Kiciński said that one of these is the “main game” which is what will be launching next April. He then confirmed that one of the other projects associated with the series that is being worked on is associated with multiplayer.

Whether or not this will be Cyberpunk 2077’s take on a specific multiplayer mode similar to Gwent or it’ll be something else associated with more traditional multiplayer stylings like deathmatch remains to be seen.

As for what the third game in development could be, Kiciński did not say. However, it was confirmed that following the release of Cyberpunk 2077, the company’s next major release will also be set in that same universe. So perhaps CD Projekt Red is already in active development on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077? It’s hard to say, but it definitely seems possible.

In total, CD Projekt Red has five teams that are currently creating games. Three of those are working on Cyberpunk 2077 titles, another is still actively working on Gwent, and the last team is still secretively toying away on something that hasn’t been revealed just yet.

It should come as no surprise that CD Projekt Red seems very committed to this new Cyberpunk 2077 IP, but having three projects set in the franchise’s world already in development is certainly a big surprise. It might be awhile until we hear about these other titles in development but it’s good to know just what CD Projekt Red has planned for the future.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on 16th April 2020.

Pokdepinion: The game has already drawn huge interest from the masses thanks to E3 2019 and Keanu Reeves so I’m sure many of you will be happy to hear about this.
