Not sure what’s happening on PSN Asia this week? We got you covered.

Some of you may have noticed that Sony Interactive Entertainment shut down their PS Asia blog. Whether this is permanent or not, we’re not sure ourselves but some of us have clearly used this as a means to know what’s happening for PSN users in the Asia region.

Well, despite the loss of the blog, we know exactly what’s going on. So if you’re not sure what’s happening this week on the PlayStation Network, don’t worry, we got you covered.

What’s Happening on PSN This Week?

EA Game Sale

psn asia april

First up, we have the EA Game Sale, where up to 80% discount is available for a selected number of EA games on the PlayStation Store. If you’re thinking “How come EA is doing a sale so often?”, then my only answer for you is that I don’t think they ever stopped it from when they first started it.

There’s games like FIFA 17, Battlefield 1, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, and even Star Wars: Battlefront up for sale. However, if you don’t own Star Wars: Battlefront, I would highly advise against buying it anyway unless you’re sure you’ll be playing with friends. Yeah, I know it has a discount but it’s just not worth it.

Deal of the Month

For this time’s Deal of the Month on PSN, we have the ever-popular Senran Kagura. Estival Versus in both English and Chinese languages. It’s going for RM98.50 and RM84.50 respectively until April 30th 2017.

The game is based on the anime and manga “Senran Kagura”, which is widely known for having more bewbs than story. I’m not kidding, have you seen them? Don’t worry, we’re not going to judge if you choose to buy it. Everyone has their own tastes after all.

Up to 50% Off on Watch Dogs 2

Some of you may be thinking “What do you mean up to 50% off for a single game? It’s just one game!” but allow me to explain. First up, we have the Digital Standard edition (English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean), which is available with a 50% discount at RM120.00.

Then we have the Digital Gold Edition (English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean), which is available with a 40% discount at RM210. Then we have the Season Pass with 37% discount going for RM94.50 and the Root Access Bundle, which comes with an extra mission and items, with a 28% discount at RM15.12.

PaRappa The Rapper Remastered PS Plus Bonus

psn asia april

Next up, we have the lovable PaRappa The Rapper returning in high definition glory. With it, there’s a special bonus for PS Plus users. For an early purchase bonus (until 4th May 2017), you’ll get a PaRappa the Rapper Dynamic Theme for your PS4!

I mean, it’s nothing much but if you have fond memories of PaRappa the Rapper and you plan on getting the game anyway, why not right?

Furi Special Discount

The highly acclaimed fast-paced slasher is available with a 30% discount, effectively being on sale for RM35.00. If you’re a PS Plus user, you can get an additional 40% discount on top of the discount.

However, if you plan on taking advantage of this deal you have to be quick about it. The offer ends tomorrow, 11th April 2017, at precisely 11:59pm so if you plan on buying it, best to do it as soon as you can use your PlayStation 4 console and access PSN.

Destiny 2 Pre-Order Discount

psn asia april

Just when you heard about Destiny supposedly having so many updates that it shouldn’t have a sequel, a sequel actually comes along. If you plan on buying the game, there’s a pre-order discount available on PSN.

If you pre-order by 7th September 2017, you will get 9% discount for the Digital Deluxe edition. This effectively brings the price down to RM379.00 instead of the usual RM419. It’s not much but it’s something. The standard edition will still be priced at RM229.00 regardless.

And that’s all of what we feel is important to highlight on what’s happening at PSN this week. If you missed out on the free games list for PS Plus Asia April 2017, click here to find out more.

Pokdepinion: Doesn’t seem like the EA Game Sale is ever going to end. But I suppose, it’s better to have some discounts rather than none. Is this something major? No, definitely not, but if there’s something you’ve been eyeing for a while and it’s available with a discount now, might as well grab it while you can on PSN.
