The rich history of DJMAX franchise releases on the PlayStation 4 with DJMAX Respect this July. Are you ready to take a trip down memory lane?

Remember when music-based games were a hit on consoles before? I’m not talking about the Rock Bands or Guitar Heroes, but rather the ones that make you feel like a legit DJ and dropping that sick beat.

Okay, I’ll stop making you cringe now. Point here is that a new DJMAX game is coming, and it’s bringing its rich history with it to the PlayStation 4. Here’s everything you need to know about the game.

Sony Interactive Entertainment Singapore officially announced that DJMAX Respect, a rhythm action game for the PlayStation 4 developed by Korean developer Neowiz Co., Ltd., will be released on 28th July 2017.

DJMAX Respect is a title that connects the long history and future of the DJMAX franchise, which was first introduced on console platforms in 2006. Boasting a massive volume at a total of 140 songs, it contains all tracks from DJMAX Portable 1 and DJMAX Portable 2, along with exclusive new sounds from legendary composers.

This latest title features an Online mode that allows gamers to play with DJMAX players around the world around online, and players can enjoy the game in many ways by choosing from a variety of modes, including Arcade, Free Style, and Mission. In addition, players can easily compare their own performance with a detailed ranking system that offers 3 individual categories such as Master Ranking, Music Ranking, and Arcade Ranking.

DJMAX Respect

The physical copy will be priced at RM219 whereas the digital download will differ slightly at RM209. DJMAX Respect will support Korean, English and Traditional Chinese languages, by the Traditional Chinese language will only be available via an update patch.

 

Pokdepinion: Well, this is definitely something I didn’t expect. Definitely a welcoming addition the PlayStation 4 but I wonder if I can keep up with the game again. I’d probably fail miserably at first.
