It would seem that another major horror icon might be joining the fray. Will we see the inclusion of Freddy Krueger in Dead by Daylight?

Freddy Krueger Teased for Dead By Daylight

Ever since the game was released last year, Dead By Daylight has included several iconic horror movie icons including Halloween‘s Michael Myers and Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, with one more horror movie killer joining the game in the near future.

In a new teaser video titled “Don’t Fall Asleep” from Dead By Daylight, the video showcases a pipe with four scratch marks digging into it with a slash, giving a pretty clear indication that A Nightmare on Elm Street‘s Freddy Krueger will be joining as the next playable killer in the game. Or rather, the indication could not be any clearer. I mean, what other iconic horror figure is there that would fit the bill here?

No other details or indications were given as to when we can expect Freddy Krueger to join in the game, but given that Halloween is on the horizon, it wouldn’t be too much to expect that Freddy Krueger may join the fray sometime later this month to coincide with the game’s upcoming Halloween events. Let’s just hope you don’t lose too much sleep over it. Better yet, it’s probably a better idea not to get any sleep at all until then.

Dead By Daylight is already out now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For a closer look at the tease for Freddy, you can check out the newly-released video at the top of this post.

Pokdepinion: Well, Freddy Krueger would definitely be a great addition to Dead by Daylight. It should spice up the game quite a bit, especially for those who have been playing the game for a while now.
