Bandai Namco has unveiled a brand new game called My Hero Academia: One’s Justice, which is based on the anime and manga series. It’s console-exclusive.

Protagonist Izuku Midoriya

Fans of the anime series rejoice because the folks over at Bandai Namco has unveiled My Hero Academia: One’s Justice for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan. The only downside here is that neither a release date nor a release window have been revealed.

The game will follow the events of the popular anime and manga series My Hero Academia, which is written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. In the series, humans have powers known as “Quirks”. However, not everyone has these powers, for example the main protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, who dreams of becoming a hero.

After confronting a villain to save his friend / bully Bakugou, Izuku obtains a Quirk known as “One For All” from the legendary All Might. He then enrolls into a school specifically for superheroes called U.A. High School.

The game will focus on fighting between characters and will also feature destructible stages. Coincidentally, this sounds similar to what we have seen from another licensed Bandai Namco title, The Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britanni.

Additionally, the first gameplay reveal will be shown during Jump Festa 2018, an event in Japan that begins on December 15th and ends on December 17th.

Other than these small tidbits of information, we don’t know much about My Hero Academia: One’s Justice, including if the game will be released outside of Japan or have an English version even. However, Bandai Namco has not been stingy about releasing past licensed games in localized form. Let’s not jump to conclusions and wait for them to announce it first.

Pokdepinion: I’m a huge fan of the anime series and it has a huge potential to be a big hit in gaming. I’m just hoping any My Hero Academia game adaptations will not flop. For now, let’s looks forward to My Hero Academia: One’s Justice
