No Spoilers: Kingdom Hearts 3 Secret Ending Requirements Revealed

Kingdom Hearts 3 has already released in Japan but the international English version is coming very soon. To get the hype train going, the requirements for the Kingdom Hearts 3 secret ending has been revealed in an interview with Famitsu.

In the interview, series creator Tetsuya Nomura mentions that the secret ending, or more accurately the secret epilogue movie, will be added via a software update. It is also said to be related to Union Cross and of course, the events that will take place after the game.

To unlock the Kingdom Hearts 3 secret ending, this is what Nomura said you must do:

It depends of the numbers of “lucky marks” you’ve managed to find and take selfies with. “Lucky Marks” are elements in the game which look like King Mickey. In Beginner difficulty, you’ll need to take photos with every single Mickey-looking mark in the game. In Normal you’ll only need a certain number, and even less in Proud difficulty. Unlike past games which required multiple different conditions to be fulfilled, this is the only thing you need to do to unlock the secret movie in Kingdom Hearts 3.

Without giving spoilers and to also dispel confusion, it has been said that the game will not be the last in the franchise but simply the end of the Dark Seeker saga involving Xehanort. As to what that may be, we will have to go through the game ourselves to know for sure.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 29th January 2019.
