God of War Ragnarok Might Be Launching Earlier Than Expected

Despite some hard times for the industry and the delays on a good number of games, God of War Ragnarok 2022 will not delay its launch. Here’s what we know thus far.

God of War Ragnarok Not Expected to Get Major Delay

We’ve seen a good number of games being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes the likes of Guilty Gear Strive, Minecraft Dungeons, and even Sony’s own Gran Turismo 7. In the case of God of War Ragnarok, it appears that it will still arrive as planned, which is in 2022.

According to Blue Owlz: Medic on Twitter, which is also the same person handling the Community and Social for Santa Monica Studio, God of War Ragnarok will still be coming out this year. Previously, reputable game journalist Jason Schreier reported that the game will still be coming out this year, and now, it looks like that development is going as planned and a 2022 release will still happen.

There is no word yet on a more precise timeframe for the game’s release. It’s being speculated that it will sometime between September and October 2022. However, there have been no official confirmations so for now, we will reporting more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: I wouldn’t necessarily say there would be zero delays completely, but there should not be any major ones at least unless something bad really happens. Since they haven’t announced an official release date, I personally think that it’s fine if it ends up being launched in December.
