An alleged leak by an anonymous source has revealed when we can expect the PlayStation Discord integration to arrive on both the PS5 and PS4.

PlayStation Discord Integration Coming Soon to PS4 and PS5

According to an Insider Gaming report, the PlayStation Discord integration is allegedly coming on 8th August 2023 for both the PS5 and PS4. This should coincide with firmware update 7.00.

Apparently, an anonymous source has chimed in on the release date of the feature, which appears to be the case given the recent inclusion in Discord beta. The source also mentioned that firmware update 6.50 will be launching on 19th January 2023, though this has nothing to do with the feature coming.

It’s worth noting that the voice chat function on Discord will only be exclusive to the PS5, so PS4 gamers will not be able to enjoy it when the feature is finally available. However, do take all of this with a grain of salt as nothing has been confirmed officially. We will be reporting more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: I don’t know why this needs to take so long but I suppose they’re just being very careful, especially if it could end up leading to an exploit of sorts.
