Straight from TGS 2018, we’ve learned more about the upcoming Romancing Saga Re;univerSe and Romancing Saga 3 HD remaster.

Romancing Saga Re;univerSe and Romancing SaGa 3 Remaster Unveiled at TGS 2018

At TGS 2018 today, the folks over at Square Enix has announced Romancing Saga Re;univerSe and shed some more light on the upcoming Romancing SaGa 3 HD remaster.

Romancing Saga Re;univerSe is a sequel to Romancing SaGa 3 and takes place roughly 300 years after the latter. It will also feature various main characters from different SaGa games. The game is scheduled to release in Japan for both iOS and Android.

For those of you who aren’t aware, the original Romancing SaGa 3 released in 1995 for for the Super Nintendo in Japan and it was not released in the west. The HD remaster of the game was announced in 2017 after the release of Romancing SaGa 2 HD remaster, but information on it was scarce until today at TGS 2018.

The SaGa series actually has its own browser gacha game with Imperial SaGa, so it will be interesting to see which direction this new game will take. If you’re wondering whether microtransactions will be a thing, it is confirmed to be part of the game.

Romancing SaGa 3 HD remaster will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS Vita, Android, and iOS sometime in early 2019. Romancing Saga Re;univerSe on the other hand will be coming to Android and iOS but no release window / date has been announced yet.

Pokdepinion: Well, this certainly brings back a lot of memories. This is one of the few series that made me really like J-RPGs.
