The 10th Gen Apple iPad seems to be rather different compared to the entry-level model from last year. It’s now thinner, come with flat sides, and a larger 10.9-inch display with a resolution of 2360 x 1640. By the looks of it, it’s essentially the iPad Air that’s powered by the Apple A14 Bionic chip.

The A14 Bionic chip consists of a 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. You will have the choice of either 64GB or 256GB storage, and it’s available with 5G or Wi-Fi only. It’s worth pointing that this uses the Wi-Fi 6 standard.

Apart from that, it has moved to USB-C but keep in mind that the Apple Pencil still uses Lightning to charge it. You will need a USB-C to Lightning just for it, but it’s included inside the box. As for camera, it has a 12MP f/2.4 ultrawide front camera featuring Smart HDR 3, Full HD 60FPS video recording, and extended dynamic range up to 30FPS. As of the rear, you get a 12MP f/1.8 wide angle camera with 4K video recording and autofocus.

The new 10th Gen Apple iPad will be retailing from USD $449 for the 64GB Wi-Fi only model, with pre-orders opening now and it will be shipped out starting 26th October 2022. You can get it in Silver, Blue, Pink, or Yellow. There is a Magic Keyboard Folio, connected via the Smart Connector magnetically, which comes with a kickstand and a trackpad, retailing for USD $249.

Pokdepinion: It may be pricier than the entry-level iPad but this one certainly looks promising given what you’re getting. I would personally get the Pro but that’s because I want something bigger.
