The Acer Liquid Z630s isn’t like most other affordable smartphones, which often sport subpar hardware and generally come with lousy user experience. As per the title, the Acer Liquid Z630s actually has 3GB of RAM, an amount which even the 2015 flagships were proud of.

The Liquid Z630s sports a 5.5″ HD IPS display with Zero Air Gap technology to improve usability under direct sunlight as well as allowing the colors to pop better. The display isn’t the only highlight though, as the CPU paired with the impressive 3GB of RAM is a 64-bit Mediatek MT6753 1.3 GHz octa-core for a smooth user experience. 32GB of storage should be sufficient for most people, but if you enjoy hoarding images and music files, you will be happy to find out that the Liquid Z630s accepts microSD cards as well. Keeping everything up and running is a massive 4000 mAh battery.

Both front and rear cameras are 8 megapixel modules. Hardware alone doesn’t make a great smartphone camera anymore, and the Liquid Z630s feature several special modes to capture the subjects perfectly, like the Bright Magic mode which allow selfies to be taken even in dark conditions, and the really interesting Gourmet mode, which enhances photos of food to make them look even more appetizing and drool-worthy on your Instagram feed.

The Acer Liquid Z630s does have a few more software tricks up its sleeves than just in the camera. The brand new Acer Liquid UI is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and incorporates features like Bluelightshield and DTS Studio Sound to improve its usability as a media consumption device.

Appearance wise, the Liquid Z630s is also quite a looker with a touch of gold around the edges. The Liquid Z630s will be priced at RM799 and will be available at all major Acer authorized resellers nationwide.

Pokdepinion: It is good to see that smartphones are coming with more and more RAM, even for the entry level models. I hope that another issue with affordable smartphones, the lack of software updates, will be overcome by Acer.
