Asia Pacific Predator League 2020 in Manila Postponed Due to nCoV Concerns

Team Lotac and Team Asbol to Represent Malaysia for APAC Predator League 2019

Gamers and followers of the Esports world were set to enjoy a competitive gaming spectacle in Manila, Philippines from 19th to 23 February 2020. This is for the upcoming Asia Pacific Predator League 2020 where the best teams in Asia Pacific for Dota 2 and PUBG were set to compete over their share of the USD $400,000 prize pool. Due to recent health-related circumstances, Acer has announced that the tournament will be postponed.

The reason that the tournament was postponed is due to concerns over the recent nCoV (Novel Coronavirus) outbreak. With it seemingly getting worse and worse with the passing of time at the moment, it would be better to postpone the tournament in the interest of the health and wellbeing of the competitors, spectators, and staff.

Acer announced that the Asia Pacific Predator League 2020 tournament has been postponed in the interest of the health and wellbeing of the tournament’s competitors, spectators and staff during this period. Almost 20,000 tickets have already been sold for the tournament, which was originally scheduled to take place in Manila, Philippines from February 19th to 23rd. It is being tentatively rescheduled to June or July. Acer will continue to closely monitor the coronavirus (2019-nCoV) situation and further announce when an exact date has been determined.

Acer mentioned that almost 20,000 tickets were sold for the tournament. At the moment, it’s being postponed to sometime in June or July 2020, with the exact date to be announced at another time. For now, updates to the tournament rules, ticketing information, as well as reuse / refunds will be on the league’s official website, which you can access by clicking right here.

Pokdepinion: In this kind of situation, it’s always better to be safe than sorry. Especially for the players, worries of the nCoV alone might not let them play to their best capacity.
