ASUS King Of Mobile 2018 Concludes – Garena’s Free Fire Booyah! Winner Throned
Over the weekend (17th of March 2018), the King of Mobile event tournament was held by ASUS Malaysia, in collaboration with Pokde.net. Participants were treated as the ASUS Zenfone Max Plus M1 was chosen as the device of choice for this year’s tournament of Free Fire Battlegrounds by Garena.

The tournament, which was held at Mighty Monster, MyTown Cheras, managed to fit around 300 people, with 80 of them being the participants. The public were treated with free flow of finger foods and drinks while the participants were given coupons to order free meals from Mighty Monster.
Rules of the tournament was simple. The preliminary round saw 4 Groups, consisting of 5 squads in each group (1 squad has 4 members), where the top two squads of each group moves on to the semi-final round. In the semis, there were a total of 8 squads left, where two halves of 4 squads battle it out to be in the Finals. Down to the Finals, it was every man (and woman!) for themselves as the rules changed to become Free-For-All.
This is actually the 2nd time that ASUS Malaysia has organized the King of Mobile game tournament together with Pokde.net but this time around on a bigger scale compared to last year’s total of 30 participants.
After a battle of wit, patience, and skills, the King for this year’s tournament was Abdul Malik, where he walked away with the King of Mobile trophy, an ASUS Zenfone Max Plus M1 smartphone, ROG Ranger Backpack, Mighty Monster vouchers, and Garena in-game premium. Runners up of the tournament didn’t left with empty hands as Azwan Radzali, Noor Alif Danial, and Siti Aisyah went home with the Max Plus M1, Mighty Monster Vouchers, and Garena in-game premiums for their notable effort in the tournament.
ASUS Malaysia also rewarded to those who stayed until the end by having numerous lucky draw prizes up for grabs, which includes the ASUS Zenfone 4 Max Pro and lots of ASUS accessories.
Pokdepinion: The tournament was packed (in a good way of course!). I really hope that we could do this again next year. Here’s to King of Mobile 2019!
