ASUS ROG Masters is back! Total prize pool of $500,000 USD!

Last year, ASUS ROG Masters was organized with a prize pool of $200,000 USD. Well, guess what, ASUS is doubling up the amount this year $500,000 USD for the same event this year! Basically, ROG Masters is a global state-of-the-art eSports tournament that features over 20 top professional teams, along with aspiring amateur gamers. The dual Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournament has grown significantly in scale and ambition, and with this almost unprecedented reach, ROG Masters 2017 is set to raise the intensity of the competition and take the Dota 2 and CS:GO scene by storm.

So, come May 2017, teams from pretty much every corner of the earth will be battling out in a series of 30 country qualifiers and four regional qualifiers (EMEA, Americas, APAC and China). Winners of these qualifiers will then proceed to take on the might of invited professional teams from each of the regions, trying their luck to place in the Grand Finals that will be held in November 2017.

Pokdepinion: I personally, totally dig the ROG Masters. Last years I attended the local Malaysian event and it was unexpectedly fun beyond what I had imagined. I mean, who would have thought I would end up watching a DOTA 2 tournament?
