Canon announced new imageRUNNER ADVANCE Colour series — Canon iR-ADV C7500i and C5500i

Canon today announced the launch of its A3 colour models third generation multifunctional devices (MFDs), the imageRUNNER ADVANCE (iR-ADV) series namely the iR-ADV C7500i series (C7580i / C7570i) and the C5500i series (C5560i / C5550i / C5540i / C5535i) to fit the trending designs of current work spaces. The iR-ADV C7500i and C5500i series feature remarkable print speeds in colour and monochrome to produce outstanding business documents in rich and vibrant hues.

Canon iR-ADV C7500i series offers an all-in-one solution that delivers maximised productivity with advanced finishing options, and scanned documents can be fed through the 300-sheet-capacity document. Count on the Canon iR-ADV C5500i device to scan and convert documents to PDF or select *Microsoft® Office® file formats like Word® or PowerPoint® for your convenience.

The Canon iR-ADV C7500i and C5500i series further enhance work productivity thanks to intelligent document workflows and a personalised user experience. Built with smartphone-like gestures such as swiping and pinching, the series offers easy navigation across the local user interface and ensures an intuitive user experience from end-to-end.

With Force Hold Printing feature that allows users to preview and edit print settings before print. Unintended output options such as incorrect quantities and finishing can be rectified prior to printing, reducing paper wastage and saving users the hassle of re-submitting print jobs in an effort to increase cost and workflow efficiencies.

With My ADVANCE feature incorporated in both series, users can customise workflows and preferences easily. This can range from personalising display language, initial display screen, frequently-used settings, address lists and more, enabling a one-step approach to streamlining work processes. The personalised My ADVANCE settings also can be integrated across the third generation of iR-ADV devices via the new My ADVANCE Synchronisation.

Intelligent functionality tailored for the smart-offices

The Canon iR-ADV C7500i series offer intelligent features such as motion sensor technology built within to wake the device from Sleep mode, and the ability to remove blank pages when scanning can help maximize day-to-day productivity. As for the iR-ADV C5500i series, Intelligent Recovery system identifies a bystander, a passer-by or an approaching user via the infrared motion sensor, and assesses their intentions. Accordingly, the device avoids unintentional recovery and remains in sleep mode or automatically recovers for added user convenience.

Both series are equipped with Intelligent Document Feeder designed to effectively handle documents for the smart-offices. Common bottlenecks faced by users in the course of document digitisation, such as double-feeding of originals and scanning of blank pages can be easily resolved by Multi-Sheet Detection and Skip Blank Originals respectively.

Businesses in pursuit of a more agile and interconnected workforce demand seamless connectivity in their work environments. The new series come standard with Wireless LAN support, providing users with the flexibility to print and scan wirelessly from their smart devices.

The new Canon iR-ADV C7500i and C5500i series adopt the innovative V2 colour technology as with the other third generation colour series. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7580i / C7570i and C5560i / C5550i / C5540i / C5535i will be available at authorised Canon distributors and dealers from November 2016 onwards
