Canon has just released their latest addition to their lineup of Canon EOS DSLR range. The new Canon EOS 200D II replaces the EOS 200D in Canon’s lineup, and offers a new DIGIC 8 image processor for a slew of new features.

Thanks to the new image processor, the Canon EOS 200D II can now shoot 4K at 24 fps, while its predecessor is stuck with 1080p60 video recording. Canon added Movie Digital IS to offer better video quality, even in poor lighting conditions. The new DIGIC 8 image processor also improves the Dual Pixel CMOS AF performance and functionality during Live View shooting.

Canon also switched up the sensor, with a 24.1MP sensor in the Canon EOS 200D II replacing the 24.2MP APS-C sensor in the EOS 200D. It touts a wide ISO range of 100 to 25 600 (expandable to 51 200) for extra flexibility when shooting in any lighting condition.

As an entry-level camera, the Canon EOS 200D II comes with multiple features to make it easier for you to snap a great shot. Creative Assist will guide you to get the shot you want, and also help you save the parameters for future use. There’s also Smooth Skin function to help you up your selfie game.

Probably a good option for beginners to get their feet wet with photography?

Pokdepinion: I think everyone should just go mirrorless… They are lighter and much more portable.
