Photo enthusiasts can look forward for Canon’s PhotoMarathon which will be coming this 9th September 2017 (Saturday)! This will be the 11th time that it is being held in Malaysia and the venue for this year will be at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur. Open to Malaysians from all walks of life, photo aficionados should grab this chance and join!

As long as you have a camera, be it a compact, mirrorless, or DSLR, you are welcome to participate! The beauty of Canon PhotoMarathon is seeing people from all walks of life, regardless of level of (photography) skill, coming together for a common interest – the passion for photography. Being a leader in the imaging solutions industry, there is a certain responsibility on Canon not only to focus on ourselves, but to also contribute to the photography community in Malaysia. Canon Set For 11th PhotoMarathon - It's That Time Of The Year Again! 27This year’s PhotoMarathon will be the first time that a medal will be given to finishers of the event. Judging from the way that it looks, it’s certainly one of a kind. The best photo submissions will be reviewed and judge by renowned photographers Asmady Ahmad, Vincent Thian, and Fiona Lim.

Canon wants to be there for Malaysians who are looking to venture into photography for the first time, or to advance further to the next level. Everything we do, from providing Malaysians with the right photography tools to workshops, Canon PhotoMarathon is meant to create an environment that’s harmonious and fun for everyone. To make the experience more memorable, we are excited to announce that for the first time, we are awarding finisher’s medals to participants Jeffrey Kung, Head of Consumer Imaging & Information Division, Canon Marketing Malaysia

Prize of the contest is worth up to RM 54,000, including some of Canon’s latest cameras. The winner of the Open Category will enjoy an all expense paid trip to Japan worth RM 10,000 and the ability to participate in Canon’s PhotoMarathon Asia Championship with a brand new Canon EOS 6D Mark II DSLR camera. First prize winners for the Open Category and Student Category will take home a Canon EOS 77D and Canon EOS 750D DSLR camera kit respectively.

Interested to join? You can join by registering online by clicking here or you can opt to register on the event day itself. The event will start at 9.00 A.M and finishes at 8.00 P.M. Registration period starts at 7.00 A.M. Participants are required to bring identification cards for registration purposes. The fee for joining is RM 30 for the Open Category and RM 20 for the Student Category.
