Kingston showcased a number of new SSDs to their lineup, with two new enterprise-class SSDs, the Kingston KC2000 M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe SSD and the Kingston DC1000M U.2 NVMe SSD. They also teased the upcoming Kingston A2000 M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe SSD, which will succeed the affordable Kingston A1000 SSD which we have previously praised for being one of the most affordable M.2 PCIe SSDs in the market.

We have received the Kingston KC2000 M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe SSD for review, and we will be talking more about it pretty soon. The Kingston KC2000 is based on a SMI 2262EN controller and 96-layer 3D TLC NAND. With that configuration, it can deliver speeds of 3200MB/s and 2200MB/s for sequential read and write, respectively. It is available in capacities ranging from 250GB to 2TB, with every drive covered by a 5-year warranty.

The budget PCIe NVMe SSD, the Kingston A2000 was previously revealed at CES 2019, but it has yet to hit markets. It will feature a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface, which promises double the bandwidth of the Kingston A1000. Of course, the final speeds are heavily dependent on the controller itself, and given that this is going to target the affordable market, you probably won’t be seeing it match the flagship PCIe SSDs in the market.

Pokdepinion: We definitely look forward to the Kingston A2000 hitting our market!
